What
Using the spaces as material in visual communication.
Using The Negative spaces as an object. My project is about the designing the spaces in between the elements of graphic design.

And in my point of view, it can happened in some visual works.
Using the third or fourth dimension makes much opportunity, in out of limited paper, to transfer the meanings. It breaks border of paper as long as uses audience mind as an area of work. This kind of works will not finish by not looking at, because the effect of it has been reminded in mind. Some part of work is still in mind.
By expanding the work to audience mind, may use the advantages of 3 or even 4 dimension for convey the information. Using this negative space expands the work to audience mind


Why
Using audiences mind as an area of work by breaking the borders of paper, it happens in process of understanding and analyzing the work by mind. The effects last in the mind and not finishes by not looking, as long as this process starts from vision to mind, actually Some part of work is crated by mind.
The relation between the forms has completed by audience, so composition of the forms that makes the feeling changes from person to person. Your mind feels what wants to feel and this process make new aesthetic, which is belong not only to author but also to user.
(This interactive process takes time and during this time the work changes. it was the reason I used 4th dimension expression. perhaps time plays an important rule here.)
How
For me, the design process does not start by putting some shape on a plane
paper, rather I design the hidden area and shape by making it a visible
form. We may find same experience in architecture, that architect not only
designs the frame or form but space. Architecture is in my view not the
forms that are designed and drawn but the spaces between forms. We live
between the architect lines – actually the architecture without free spaces
is not architecture.
In graphic design, the free spaces play an important role for me, by omitting it we will face to another work.



Finding Simples of using the spaces between in other kinds of art, would lead us to flow this feel in modern way.
As this behaviour is visible in East art and architecture even in Japanese Hiyko poem.
